Some of the human foods that you should avoid giving your puppy (or fed with great care) are:
Cooked bones
- can easily splinter & become lodged in the throat, stomach or intestines
Chocolate
- contains theobromine which is toxic to dogs
Pig meat
- avoid giving pork and bacon especially the fat, it has been associated with pancreatitis, however the occasional pig ear is safe
Onions
- reported to cause anaemia
Corn cobs & the stone from stone fruit
- common cause of intestinal blockages
Other foods to avoid include: Macadamia Nuts, Grapes and Avocado.
